We just wanted to say to you both thank you so much for the fantastic service you provided for our wedding. The horses were so lush and the carriage was perfect and beautifully decorated! They really made the experience of going to and from the church a trip to remember. We had so many compliments about the horses and the carriage and how well it all fitted in with the wedding! It was such a beautiful day and you really made it even more special.
We would highly recommend you to anyone. From the minute we contacted you to the actual day you were so helpful and friendly and we loved the fact that we could meet you and the horses prior to the wedding.

Hi Neil Lisa and George

It has been just over a week since we were down with you all, I hope everyone - and the animals - are well.

Dad still hasn't stopped talking about his 80th Birthday Treat, and the experience.

We all would like to thank you for your time, trouble and hospitality on the day, all fantastic and faultless!

Value for money? - you bet, and some!

We are telling our friends about the experience and recommending they give it a go!

MY DAY AT ASHCOTT SHIRE HORSE CENTRE

TO ALL MY LOVELY FAMILY

TO YOU ALL I WOULD LIKE TO SAY

HOW CAN I EVER THANK YOU ALL

FOR SUCH A REALLY PERFECT DAY

YOU ALL WENT OUT OF YOUR WAY

TO GIVE ME A BIRTHDAY PRESENT TO REMEMBER

A LOVELY DAY DOWN IN SOMERSET

ON THE THIRD DAY OF SEPTEMBER

NOT KNOWING REALLY WHERE IT WAS

IT COULD BE HARD TO FIND

SO STARTING OFF, MARK LED THE WAY

AND ANNIE FOLLOWED CLOSE BEHIND

IT WAS SUCH A LOVELY MORNING

IN ONE AND A HALF HOURS, WE WERE THERE

ARRIVING AT THE SHIRE HORSE CENTRE

WITH JUST TEN MINUTES TO SPARE

THE OWNER HE CAME TO GREET US

AND ALL HIS FAMILY

THEY MADE US ALL SO WELCOME

WITH A NICE HOT CUP OF TEA

THE OWNER LOVED HIS ANIMALS

IN NO TIME YOU COULD TELL

NOT ONLY DID HE HAVE HIS SHIRES

HE HAD THREE LOVELY DOGS AS WELL

THEY BROUGHT OUT PRINCE AND KATIE

I GROOMED THEM ONE BY ONE

I�M NOT SURE IF THEY ENJOYED IT

BUT I WAS HAVING FUN

THE BOSS EXPLAINED ABOUT THE HARNESS

AND WHAT IT WAS ALL FOR

APART FROM THE HORSES COLLAR

THE REST I WAS NOT SURE

THEY TOOK PRINCE TO A NEARBY FIELD

AND WITH BOTH REINS IN MY HAND

I HAD TO WALK HIM ROUND AND ROUND THE FIELD

TO GET USED TO MY COMMAND

WITH PRINCE AND KATIE HOOKED TO THE CARRIAGE

IT WAS TIME TO GO

THE PLEASURE I GOT FROM MY RIDE

YOU MIGHT NEVER EVER KNOW

I REALLY HAD A LOVELY TIME

WITH MY FAMILY BY MY SIDE

FILLED WITH SO MUCH EXCITEMENT

ON MY VERY SPECIAL RIDE

TROTTING THROUGH THE COUNTRYSIDE

SAT UP IN THE DRIVING SEAT

I WAS ENJOYING EVERY MINUTE

OF MY SPECIAL BIRTHDAY TREAT

I THINK I DID, MY VERY BEST

TO KEEP PRINCE AND KATIE IN ORDER

AND MARK HE CAPTURED EVERYTHING

ON MUMS NEW CAMCORDER

WHEN WE GOT BACK WE GAVE THE SHIRES

A WASH AND SOMETHING TO EAT

WE GAVE THEM CARROTS AND APPLES

AS A REALLY SPECIAL TREAT

AFTER ANOTHER CUP OF TEA

HOMEWARD BOUND WE MADE OUR WAY

Dear Neil, Lisa and the team!

We hope you are all well and enjoying the wonderful summer we are having. Andy and I just wanted to say another huge thank you for all your hard work and kind advice in organising the horse and carriage for our wedding day. It was quite an operation! We really appreciated all your attention to detail and perserverance in achieving everything we asked for. We can honestly say it was the magical, fairytale part of our day and we look back with very fond memories of our time with you.

Just to say a BIG THANKS to you all for the lovely trip last Sunday morning. It really was quite fantastic, such a wonderful experience. It's always a pleasant change to see horses being worked as they should be - they look so fit and well and are a real credit to you.

Just a note to say how lovely the carriage ride was last Thursday. We all enjoyed it very much (even if my son Adam could not stop talking for England!!)

Took my mum and I back over memory lane of driving horses when I was a child.

Dear Lisa and Neil,

Thank you for a memorable day with you and 'Prince', and all the other horses.

On arrival we were immediately made to feel welcome with a nice cup of coffee and informal chat about what we were hoping to get out of the experience.

From that moment, everything was tailored to our needs. I enjoyed the chance to help groom the horse and then work him for a while. We then had an enjoyable, leisurely carriage ride for several miles around the lanes and villages in the area, culminating on our return, in helping to unharness Prince and return him to his enclosure for a reunion with his stable mates. A further cup of coffee was gratefully received.

It is obvious that you love your horses and that they feel safe and well cared for in your hands.

We wish you every success in your venture and would have no hesitation in recommending you to our friends.

Thank you once again for the perfect transport to the church and the wonderful ride up into the hills! Absolutely beautiful views and it was really nice having that brief period together as man and wife for the first time!

Dear Neil and Lisa

I had to write and say a huge "thank you" for the wonderful day you and your family provided for me. I enjoyed every minute of it. I have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone wishing to take part in an experience they will not forget. I have seldom felt so welcome, met such friendly and warm people in what is a truly family-run business. You all obviously love your horses very much and it was a joy to see your children taking such an active part. Harry is a natural and Georgie is, even in one so young, an excellent horsewoman. The whole package you presented (which was tailor-made for me) was first class (and lunch at Trish and Paul's is not to be missed - especially the cream tea!). For a first-timer like me it was a remarkable experience. Obviously not everything can be learned in one day and I fully intend going back in a few weeks time to continue my education. There is nothing so satisfying as working with these magnificent creatures. They are truly " gentle giants". Neil and Lisa - thank you for a memorable day, and I will see you again soon.
